Oppo’s Product Manager, Zhou Yibao, has announced that the Oppo Find N5 will be launched concurrently in both China and international markets.

Oppo has been hinting at the launch of the Oppo Find N5 for several weeks in China. Today, the company has officially announced through a Weibo post that the N5 will be revealed within the next two weeks.

Chinese technology bloggers suggest that the Find N5 may be released on February 19, 20, or 21. This device is anticipated to revolutionize the design of foldable smartphones, featuring an exceptionally slim profile—less than 9.2mm when folded and approximately 4.6mm on one side when opened, positioning it as the thinnest foldable device available to date.

The Find N5 is the first foldable device equipped with the 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is reported to include an 8-inch inner display boasting a 2K resolution, characterized by an almost imperceptible screen crease, alongside a flat outer display designed to provide a seamless user experience. Additionally, the device is expected to be powered by a 5,700mAh battery, supporting 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

The Find N5 introduces exceptional durability, boasting an IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance rating, establishing it as the most waterproof foldable smartphone to date. In terms of photography, the device is equipped with a Hasselblad-branded triple-lens configuration, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor with 3x magnification.

The brand has officially announced the upcoming release of a new white edition of the Find N5. For enhanced security, the device will incorporate a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It will operate on Android 15, customized with ColorOS 15. Following its launch in China, the Find N5 is anticipated to be available in several Southeast Asian markets shortly thereafter. In regions such as the United States, Europe, and India, the device may be introduced under the name OnePlus Open 2.
