At the current Mobile World Congress 2025 taking place in Barcelona, Xiaomi has introduced its Pad 7 series of tablets in conjunction with the Xiaomi 15 series of smartphones. The new lineup features two tablet variants: the Xiaomi Pad 7 and the Pad 7 Pro. These devices were initially released in China in October 2024.
Xiaomi Pad 7 Series Features
Both tablets are equipped with an 11.2-inch 3.2K display that boasts a refresh rate of 144Hz, a resolution of 345 ppi, and the capability to display 68 billion colors. The screen has received TÜV Rheinland certification to minimize eye strain and features adaptive HDR technology. Each device weighs 500g and has a thickness of 6.18mm, complemented by quad Dolby Atmos speakers.
Performance & AI Tools
The tablets operate on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which incorporates AI-powered features, including AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, and AI Art through Mi Canvas. An AI Calculator is available for managing intricate equations. HyperConnect facilitates cross-device capabilities, enabling users to operate two smartphone applications on the tablet, transfer files using NFC, or utilize both smartphone and tablet cameras at the same time for multi-angle content creation. Additionally, a workstation mode offers a desktop-like experience with adjustable applications and floating windows.
Standard Models vs Pro
The Pad 7 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, featuring a 32MP front camera with always-on functionality and a 50MP rear camera. It is compatible with Wi-Fi 7 and is powered by an 8850mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, achieving a full charge in just 79 minutes. Additionally, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
In contrast, the standard Pad 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, which is paired with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. This model supports Wi-Fi 6E and utilizes a 45W charging system, reaching a full charge in 103 minutes. Both devices feature a sleek aluminum unibody construction.
Xiaomi Pad 7 Series Pricing & Accessories
Accessories include the Focus Keyboard with backlit keys, the Focus Pen (8192 pressure levels, low latency), and protective covers. The Pad 7 starts at €399 in Europe and at PKR 125K in Pakistan, and the Pro begins at €499 in Europe and PKR 165K in Pakistan. Color choices for both include Blue, Gray, and Green.
