These Samsung Phones are getting 8 Android OS Upgrades, All the way to Android 23!

In January, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 smartphone series globally. The South Korean technology leader followed up in February with the announcement of the Enterprise Editions for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The standard S25 series is guaranteed to receive seven years of Android OS upgrades and security updates. Notably, the official Samsung Knox website states that the Enterprise Edition of the Galaxy S25 series will enjoy even longer software support compared to the regular versions.

Galaxy S25 Series Enterprise Edition promised 8 Android OS Updates

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra Enterprise Editions will be eligible for eight major Android OS updates. These devices come pre-installed with Android 15 and will be updated to Android 23. This is one update more than the standard Galaxy S25 models, which are capped at seven major OS updates, concluding with Android 22.

This extended support for the Enterprise Editions is consistent with Samsung’s practice of providing longer update durations for its business-oriented devices. In addition to OS updates, these models will receive security patches until January 2032. The Knox platform designates these devices as “Android Enterprise Recommended,” affirming their suitability for long-term use in professional environments.

What’s the Galaxy S25 series Enterprise Edition?

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series Enterprise Edition distinguishes itself from the standard models by offering a range of business-oriented enhancements. It includes a complimentary one-year subscription to the Samsung Knox Suite for advanced security and remote device management, along with up to three years of extended business support.

Additionally, the Enterprise Edition features AI-driven tools such as call transcription with summaries, meeting recording transcription, and a Writing Assist feature for crafting professional emails. While the hardware specifications are identical to those of the regular S25 models, the Enterprise Edition is priced slightly higher, reflecting its enhanced security, productivity features, and long-term support for enterprises.
