Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 Production Starts ahead of Expected to Launch July 2025

Samsung appears to be on schedule with its new foldable phones. According to an X post from PandaFlashPro, production has started for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, along with their accessories. The source says Samsung met its target to begin production in May, which points to an early July launch.

Sources suggest Samsung has started making the Flip 7 and Fold 7, including their foldable OLED screens. However, the company plans lower production this year because it expects fewer buyers. The Flip 7 might see only 3 million units made, while the Fold 7 could reach just 2 million. Overall, this is about 40 percent fewer units compared to older models.

Samsung is also preparing accessories for these phones. There are rumors about a third foldable phone called a tri-fold. Only 200,000 units are expected, making it a rare item and likely very pricey.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 might get a bigger cover screen and could launch with Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chip, the first made with 3nm tech. However, some leaks suggest Samsung might switch to a Snapdragon processor if the Exynos isn’t ready. The Galaxy Fold 7 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, similar to what’s in the Galaxy S25 series.

Meanwhile, Samsung will likely reveal the Galaxy S25 Edge next week. It will focus on a slim design. Pre-orders have started in the UK, with extra perks for early buyers. The phone is expected to launch in South Korea on May 13, then in China on May 23. Other countries should see it by May 30.
