The Galaxy Unpacked event, expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and new wearables, has mostly stayed a mystery—until now. A recent Samsung press release appears to reveal the event’s date and location.
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is rumored to showcase the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. The event is expected to happen in mid-July, but the company has not officially confirmed the details. A press release seen by SamMobile offers a clue. Samsung announced a partnership with two well-known New York City running clubs, sponsoring events to highlight its Galaxy wearables. The first event is the NYCRuns Queens Ice Cream Social 5K on July 13, 2025. Many believe the Unpacked event could take place on the same day in New York City, using the running event to promote the Galaxy Watch 8 series.

The Z Fold7 is said to be thinner with a bigger screen and a 200MP main camera. The Z Flip 7 is expected to have a new cover screen design. The Z Flip7 FE, the first Fan Edition foldable from Samsung, may appeal to budget buyers with lower specs but the familiar flip format. Rumors also point to updates like Gemini AI integration and One UI 8 based on Android 16, for the foldable devices. Samsung recently teased a new foldable device that looks like a book, saying it now “understands what you’re seeing—and responds.”
For now, the hints point to a July 13 event for the new foldables and wearables. Samsung has not officially confirmed the date yet. Expect more details soon.
