Tecno Pova Curve 5G review: A solid mid-ranger with killer looks

The Tecno Pova Curve 5G enters the sub-Rs 20,000 market with a clear focus on design and display. It features a curved AMOLED screen, a slim profile, and the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset. Priced at Rs 15,999 for the 6GB+128GB model, it targets buyers wanting a stylish feel without overspending. But does it perform where it counts? Let’s take a closer look.

Design and Build

  • 164.3 x 74.6 x 7.45mm | 188.5 grams
  • IP64 rating
  • Colors: Cosmic Black, Magic Silver, and Neon Cyan

The phone’s design draws inspiration from space ships, with a curved back and screen. It’s only 7.45mm thick and weighs 188.5 grams, feeling surprisingly light for its size, and has a 5,500mAh battery inside. The frame and back are made from polycarbonate, but the matte finish gives it a premium look and helps keep fingerprints away.

Available in Geek Black, Magic Silver, and Neon Cyan, the Pova Curve 5G is rated IP64, offering splash resistance. The right side has the power button with an orange strip and the volume controls. On top, there’s an IR blaster and a secondary speaker. The bottom features a USB-C port, a dual-SIM tray, and a loudspeaker grille. A glass screen protector would have been useful for this curved display, but Tecno provides a transparent case in the box.
