Samsung is preparing its next Fan Edition phone. This is the Galaxy S25 FE. A new leak suggests an earlier arrival than last year’s model. It might launch in South Korea on September 19.
Last year, the Galaxy S24 FE came out in September worldwide. South Korea received it later in November. Samsung might follow a similar pattern. This could mean a global launch for the S25 FE happens before its home country release. Samsung has not confirmed this. However, the company hinted at an early launch. This happened during a recent earnings call.
This schedule shift might be part of a larger strategy. Samsung also plans to release its Tri-Fold phone. This is expected in the second half of 2025. An early S25 FE launch could free up resources. This would allow Samsung to focus on the Tri-Fold device.
What to Expect from the Galaxy S25 FE
The Galaxy S25 FE will likely keep many features similar to the S24 FE. That includes a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM, and a 4,700mAh battery. These are almost the same as the previous model.
However, there are some notable upgrades:
- Faster 45W wired charging, which is a big jump from before.
- Support for Qi2 wireless charging, a new standard that promises better performance.
- A 12MP selfie camera, slightly better than the one in the S24 FE.
- A bit more chrome detailing around the frame and camera rings for a premium look.
Storage and Chipset Details
The 512GB storage variant might be removed, which could be a downside for those who need more space.
When it comes to the processor, two possibilities are being discussed. Samsung may use the Exynos 2400 or Exynos 2400e. But if there are production issues, the company could switch to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 instead.
Is It Worth the Wait?
The Galaxy S25 FE may not feature major changes. Yet, faster charging, a new camera, and an early release could boost its appeal. The FE series offers a solid mid-range option. It suits those who prefer Samsung phones. It’s for people avoiding the cost of Ultra or Plus models.
The reported September 19 launch date in South Korea is soon. Global fans might get the device even sooner.
Samsung has not officially confirmed this date. If these leaks prove true, the Galaxy S25 FE could be available much earlier than anticipated.
