Honor launched the Magic V Flip 2 in China. This is their new foldable phone. It competes with phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. The Magic V Flip 2 has the largest battery yet for a flip phone.
Design & Display
The phone features a 6.82-inch inner screen. It’s an LTPO OLED display. The resolution is 2868 by 1232 pixels. It has a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen gets very bright, up to 5,000 nits. This makes it easy to see outside.
There’s also a 4.0-inch outer screen. It’s also an LTPO OLED panel. It has a 1200 by 1092 resolution. This screen also supports 120Hz. It can reach 3,600 nits of brightness.
The phone is 6.9mm thick when open. It’s about 15.5mm when folded. It weighs around 204 grams. The phone has IP58 and IP59 ratings. Its hinge is also very durable. It comes in White and Gray. Purple is another option. There’s also a special Blue version. This one was made with Jimmy Choo.

Internals and Software
The Magic V Flip 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is available with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage configurations include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, all using UFS 4.0 technology for faster read/write speeds.
It runs Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 9.0.1 on top, delivering several AI-based enhancements and multitasking features. Connectivity includes support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, ultra-wideband (UWB), and dual SIM functionality (one physical SIM and one eSIM). The device also includes stereo speakers and a triple-microphone setup for improved audio and call quality.
Cameras
The Magic V Flip 2 features a dual-camera setup on the rear. The primary sensor is a 200MP unit with a 1/1.4-inch size, f/1.9 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens offering a 127-degree field of view. On the inside, the device carries a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The rear cameras can also be used for high-quality selfies via the outer display.

Battery and Pricing
The phone is equipped with a 5,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery, the largest battery currently available in any flip-style foldable phone. It supports 80W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. With the wired charger, the battery can reach 50% in under 20 minutes under optimal conditions.
