ISLAMABAD – The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) launched a significant crackdown on illegal online gambling in Pakistan, focusing on apps that are defrauding citizens of billions of rupees. 46 gambling and “casino” apps have been declared illegal by authorities, some of which even trade personal information and mobile phone numbers!
Aviator Game, Chicken Road, 1xBet, Dafabet, 22Bet, Me Let, Pari Match, Bet365, Plinko, 10Cric, Rabona, Casumo, and a number of non-regulated forex trading platforms are among the prohibited applications. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is in charge of coordinating the nationwide blocking of these apps.
Betting Apps in Pakistan
NCCIA Director Sarfaraz Chaudhry warned that anyone playing or promoting these apps could face severe legal consequences. A notice was recently issued to social media influencer Saad Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai, for promoting gambling through these applications.
The public is being urged to remain vigilant and refrain from downloading or using these risky apps, which not only put your money at risk but also run the risk of exposing your personal information.
