Vivo has introduced the Y500 in China. This phone joins the Y-series with a focus on durability and extended battery life. The device offers a better hardware upgrade and is designed to perform reliably in extreme conditions. It is built for tough spots, thanks to its IP rating.
Design and Display
The Vivo Y500 has a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen. It shows Full HD+ pictures. The screen refreshes 120 times each second. Diamond Shield glass protects it. Vivo’s drop cushioning helps absorb hits. It has an IP68 and IP69 rating. This means it resists dust and water. It can even stay underwater for over 24 hours at a depth of 1.5 meters. High-pressure water jets are no problem. Internals and Software
A MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip powers the Y500. It offers better speed than before. You can choose up to 12GB of RAM. Internal storage goes up to 512GB. The phone runs OriginOS 5. This system is based on Android 15. You get the newest software features.
Cameras
On the back, the Y500 has a 50MP main camera. Its aperture is f/1.8. A 2MP depth sensor is also there. For selfies, an 8MP front camera is in a small hole.
