China will likely see the Xiaomi 16 series launch next month. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the date or specs. Leaked pictures have surfaced online. They give us our first look at a key design element.
The leaked images appear to be of the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max. They show a new horizontal camera bump on the back. Two cameras are stacked vertically on the left. A third camera and flash sit below them. What’s really interesting is the space for a second screen. This was a feature on the Xiaomi 11 Ultra.
Xiaomi Copying iPhone?
This design looks very similar to Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Pro. Some people think Xiaomi is bringing back its own mini-screen idea. Others think Xiaomi might be copying Apple’s design. Xiaomi has been known to do this before.
The leaked photos suggest a second screen. However, we don’t know if it will be in the final phone. The design might just be a placeholder. It could also just look like the leaked iPhone 17 Pro.
Xiaomi has not confirmed anything. So, the second screen is still just a guess. We should learn more when Xiaomi releases teasers or officially announces the Xiaomi 16 series soon.
