Pakistan is Officially Getting WiFi 7 use 6GHz band

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has cleared the use of Wi-Fi 7 and later Wi-Fi versions in the 6 GHz band, from 5925 to 6425 MHz. The agency noted in its announcement that this step matches rules set before for Wi-Fi 6E. It signals a key advance in boosting Pakistan’s digital links.

PTA states this action ranks Pakistan as an early user of Wi-Fi 7 in the Asia-Pacific area. The change should bring quicker, steadier connections to many fields. It will aid Pakistan’s shift toward stronger digital systems.

Wi-Fi 7 offers very high data speeds, less delay, and strong stability. It suits tough tasks like 8K video streams, augmented and virtual reality, and factory controls. By clearing up crowded older frequency bands, Wi-Fi 7 will improve how users connect. It will also back new digital tools.

The agency added that Wi-Fi 7 will cut costs for broadband service. It will improve links for homes, small and medium businesses, school grounds, hospitals, and smart urban areas. Better digital setups should spark new ideas, widen reach to key services, and raise work output.

PTA stressed this step shows its drive to close digital gaps, build tougher networks, and grow Pakistan’s fair digital market. The group renewed its promise to shape rules that speed up new tech use and fuel the nation’s lasting digital progress.
