Samsung Galaxy S26 series could be the first to adopt Bluetooth 6.1 via Exynos S6568 chip

Samsung’s next Galaxy S26 series could be among the first smartphones to ship with Bluetooth 6.1. This comes from a new certified Exynos chip. A recent Bluetooth SIG listing suggests the company’s next flagship will deliver faster, smarter, and more secure wireless connections for Galaxy devices like earbuds, watches, and smart home devices.

The new Exynos S6568 chip, not to be confused with the Exynos 2600, is described as a connectivity module that handles Bluetooth and Wi-Fi alongside an Exynos application processor. According to the listing, the S6568 pairs with a matching Exynos processor to build a full Bluetooth 6.1 and Wi-Fi setup.

It’s not clear if Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 versions of the S26 will get this upgrade. For reference, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 supports Bluetooth 6.0, not 6.1.

This news lines up with Samsung’s plans. The Galaxy S26 lineup, pushed back to March 2026, should use the Exynos 2600 in many areas. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will drive models in the US and China.

Bluetooth 6.1 rolled out in May 2025. It builds on 6.0 with key fixes. Privacy rises with Randomized Resolvable Private Address changes that swap a device’s Bluetooth ID to stop tracking in crowds. It also saves power by shifting address tasks to the Bluetooth controller, not the main processor.

Bluetooth 6.0 added exact Channel Sounding for pinpoint location tracking. But 6.1 zeros in on better privacy, steadiness, and battery life. If Samsung adds it to the S26, these phones could be the first big release with the fresh standard.
