AirLink Communication is holding talks to include a new mobile phone brand in its local production portfolio.
The company disclosed the ongoing discussions during a recent corporate briefing but did not share the name of the brand or confirm any formal agreement. However, management noted that preparations are underway to support another major partnership within its existing infrastructure.
AirLink builds phones for several global brands at its plant in Lahore. Adding this new one would boost how much the plant runs. It also matches the government’s drive for more home-based making. The move fits AirLink’s plan to cut down on imports, lower costs, and add jobs via local building.
Pakistan’s phone-making industry has grown fast lately. In July 2025, local output topped 3.5 million units. That’s a strong 123% jump from last year, per government stats. This rise ties to rules that push firms to put together phones here rather than ship in ready ones.
AirLink has said before that its Lahore site handles big runs and aids Pakistan’s phone supply a lot. The company thinks growing its work could firm up the chain of supplies. That would help even more if officials okay exports for some items.
