Apple has officially launched the iPhone 17, introducing a larger display, new front and rear cameras, and the powerful A19 chip. Let’s take a look at its key specs and pricing details.
iPhone 17 Specifications
The iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 2622×1206 resolution and a 460ppi density. The base model now supports ProMotion with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, along with HDR, True Tone, and Always-On mode.
Apple has boosted peak outdoor brightness to 3000 nits, which is 50% higher than the iPhone 16. The front cover uses Ceramic Shield 2, improving scratch resistance by up to 3x compared to the previous generation.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 runs on Apple’s 3nm A19 chip, which includes a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a 16-core Neural Engine.
The chip enables smoother multitasking, console-level gaming, and advanced Apple Intelligence features, including Genmoji, Clean Up, and Live Translation. It runs iOS 26 out of the box, bringing a refreshed UI with Liquid Glass effects and features like Call Screening, Hold Assist, and visual intelligence across apps.
Apple has reworked the camera setup with an 18MP Center Stage front camera featuring a new square sensor for a wider field of view, enhanced stabilization, and AI-powered rotation for group selfies.
On the rear, there’s a 48MP Dual Fusion system comprising a main sensor with 2x telephoto and an ultra-wide camera with 4x higher resolution than before. The phone supports 4K60fps Dolby Vision video, Cinematic mode, and Audio Mix.
The iPhone 17 supports up to 30 hours of video playback, eight hours more than the previous model. The phone charges up to 50% in 20 minutes using the new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter. MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging are supported up to 25W.
The device includes an Action Button for customizable shortcuts, a new Camera Control key, IP68 water and dust resistance, Face ID, and dual stereo speakers. Connectivity gets a boost with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Thread support, and a new N1 wireless chip.
iPhone 17 Pricing and Availability
iPhone 17 is available in five colors: Black, White, Mist Blue, Sage, and Lavender. It ships in two storage options: 256GB priced at $799 (PKR 226K) and 512GB at $999 (PKR 284K). Pre-orders begin September 12.
At the event, Apple also unveiled the iPhone Air, its thinnest iPhone yet, alongside the Watch Ultra 3 and Watch SE 3 with satellite messaging and upgraded health features. The company also introduced the AirPods Pro 3, which adds improved active noise cancellation, heart rate monitoring, and real-time translation support.
