Nothing’s budget brand CMF has released its first Pro model, bringing major upgrades over the original. The CMF Phone 2 Pro features a triple-camera layout, enhanced display specs, NFC support, and a modular design with attachable lenses—all at an affordable price.
Display and Design
The Phone 2 Pro has a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. It delivers 10-bit color, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and peaks at 3,000 nits brightness. Panda Glass, a budget-friendly Chinese alternative to Gorilla Glass, shields the display.
Measuring 7.8mm thick and weighing 185g, it is slightly slimmer and lighter than the previous version, even though the battery size stays the same. It has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance and comes in White, Black, Light Green, and Orange.
Internals and Software
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chip with 8GB RAM. It offers options of 128GB or 256GB storage, with microSD support for expansion. It ships with Nothing OS 3.2 based on Android 15. CMF promises three years of Android updates and six years of security patches. NFC has been added, enabling contactless payments, which were missing in the original.
Cameras
The main rear camera is a 50MP sensor with a 1/1.57-inch size. It can record 4K video at 30fps. There’s also a second 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera is 16MP. The rear system now supports removable lenses, including macro and fisheye options sold separately.
Battery and Pricing
The 5,000mAh battery supports 33W wired charging and 5W reverse charging. The company claims it lasts 22 hours for YouTube or 10 hours for gaming. The battery is expected to keep 90% capacity after 1,200 charge cycles.
Prices start at $229 for the 8GB + 128GB model and $253 for the 8GB + 256GB version. Optional accessories include a macro or fisheye lens for $38, a combo wallet/stand for $38, and a universal case for $27. Bundle deals offer one lens plus both accessories for $49.
