Xiaomi has just launched the much-anticipated Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China. Due to the fact that its overseas variants have received approval in a number of nations, including India, Thailand, and Singapore, speculation is rife that its global journey may soon begin.

As can be seen above, India’s BIS authority has approved the Indian versions of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 with model numbers 2512BPNDAI and 25113PN0EI, respectively.
The screenshots above show that the NBTC authority in Thailand has also certified both phones, which have model numbers 2512BPNDAG and 25113PN0EG, respectively.

In October, the standard Xiaomi 17 was approved by the IMDA authority in Singapore. The above screengrab shows that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s two variants, with model numbers 2512BPNDAG and 25128PNA1G, have been certified by the IMDA certification platform.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition is thought to be the 25128PNA1G, whereas the 2512BPNDAG is the standard model.
Xiaomi Group VP and CMO Xu Fei recently confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be released globally in 2026. However, the actual time frame has not yet been established. The Xiaomi 17 series might make its global debut in March 2026, according to rumors.
Reports also indicate that the global versions of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature smaller batteries than their Chinese counterparts.
The Chinese version of the Xiaomi 17 has a battery that is 5,400 mAh, but the global version may have a battery that is 5,240 mAh. In a similar vein, the battery in the Xiaomi 17 Ultra that is sold in China is 6,800 mAh, whereas the battery in the global version may be 6,000 mAh.
