Google now shares its AI-powered tool with more people around the world. The company has rolled out its AI Mode feature to 40 new countries and added support for 35 new languages. Google has expanded the AI mode to Pakistan, and Urdu has been officially added to the list of supported languages.
This update brings Google’s new search experience to millions of new users worldwide. The AI Mode started in the United States on June 27, and it is now available in over 200 countries and territories.
Hema Budaraju, Google’s Vice President for Search Product Management, says the growth shows big progress in the company’s Gemini AI models. In her blog post, she noted, “Gemini lets people ask any question in their own natural way. This comes from our grasp of everyday language and skills in handling different inputs.” She also said AI Mode understands local tongues better now. It will grow to more places soon.
What is AI Mode?
AI Mode makes searching smarter for Google users. It handles easy queries like “When does daylight savings end?” It also tackles tough ones, such as “Tell me about the Great Depression.”
You can access AI Mode through a button on the right side of the Google Search bar or from the menu on other Google pages. You can also access it directly through its dedicated URL.
A top feature of AI Mode is its power to use text, voice, or images for searches. For example, you can upload a scenic photo and ask, “Where was this picture taken?” You can also request visual results, such as “Show me photos of the most scenic places in Seattle.”
Google has also improved shopping searches within AI Mode. Now, when you ask something like “Where can I buy soft winter sweaters?”, the AI can generate a list of relevant stores and help you compare products easily.
Gemini powers the core of AI Mode. Google’s family of powerful AI models. Gemini helps synthesise answers and present them conversationally and naturally, making search more interactive and human-like.
With Urdu support, folks in Pakistan can use AI Mode in their own tongue. They feel at ease this way. Google takes another key step to make AI open and useful for everyone.
The launch proves Google keeps pushing AI to new spots. It lets more people discover, study, and buy through simple talks. Language does not hold them back.
