Google Wallet’s Launched In Pakistan – How to use and which banks are supported?

Google has recently introduced its mobile payment service, Google Wallet in Pakistan. This service facilitates not only online transactions but also supports in-app and contactless payments in person through mobile devices, making it accessible to users across the country.

How to Use Google Pay?

Google Wallet in Pakistan is easy to use! Just head over to the Google Play Store and download the app today. If you already have a compatible credit or debit card linked to your Google account, it will show up automatically in Google Wallet. Just follow the simple on-screen instructions to get started with contactless payments.

If you need to add a new card, just click on “Add a card” at the top of the page. After that, review and accept the issuer’s terms and conditions and complete the verification steps. Your card will be tokenized and ready to use in Google Wallet.

Google Wallet in Pakistan

Google Wallet offers a secure, easy, and convenient payment experience while also supporting digital items like loyalty cards and boarding passes. Below is a list of the bank cards you can currently add to Google Wallet/Google Pay.

  • Bank AlFalah (Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards)
  • Bank of Punjab (Mastercard credit cards)
  • Faysal Bank Noor (Mastercard debit cards)
  • HBL (Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards)
  • Jazzcash (Mastercard debit cards)
  • Meezan Bank (Visa and Mastercard debit cards)
  • UBL (Visa and Mastercard debit cards)

Users of these bank cards can now link them to Google Wallet in Pakistan, allowing them to make payments using their Android phones or Wear OS devices at any location that supports contactless payments. Additionally, payment cards stored in Google Wallet can be utilized for online purchases or in-app transactions at any merchant displaying the Google Pay button.

Additionally, these bank cards will be available on Google Pay soon:

  • Allied Bank (Visa debit cards)
  • Easypaisa Digital Bank (Visa debit cards)
  • JS Bank (Visa credit cards and Mastercard debit cards)
  • Zindigi (Visa debit and credit cards, and Mastercard debit cards) will be able to add their cards to Google Wallet in Pakistan soon.

Soon, online merchants like Onic, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, J. and KE will also be available with PayFast’s integration with Google Pay and businesses using Safepay’s platform.

You can also add boarding passes from Batik Air and Thai Airways to Google Wallet in Pakistan. This feature helps travelers stay updated on departure times and gate changes, making their airport experience smoother. Additionally, they can enjoy secure tap-and-pay options with Google Wallet during their international trips.
