In China, Honor has started releasing a new MagicOS upgrade for its Magic 8 series smartphones. The version, known as MagicOS 10.0.0.122, combines system optimizations, usability enhancements, and AI-driven features. The new eye-tracking page turning feature is the most notable of them.
The feature is intended to make phone reading more hands-free, as the name suggests. Once activated, the system can reduce the requirement for touch input by automatically turning pages based on the user’s eye movements.

It is a more immersive manner of reading on your phone, particularly when reading sessions are extended or in situations where using your hands is uncomfortable. Settings > Honor AI & YOYO > Eye Tracking > Eye-tracking Page Turning is the path to the feature.

Additionally, the upgrade significantly enhances screen recording. Users can now record their displays without capturing dynamic icons, status bars, or banner notifications thanks to Honor’s Clean Screen Recording option.
Additionally, users can now begin or continue screen recording while on the phone thanks to the Magic 8 series’ support for simultaneous call and screen recording. In case you were wondering, Honor clarified that call audio and content are not included in recordings.

Additionally, Honor updated its Magic 8 series Tips and Tricks app. To help consumers better comprehend device features and usage strategies, it now has a revamped interface with more content.
In order to give a modest visual gloss, the Communication Control Center now incorporates motion rebound animations while expanding or contracting media cards, Bluetooth, and WLAN.

While scrolling performance has been enhanced in apps like the home screen and China’s 12306 railway ticketing app, battery life has also been adjusted for specific scenarios.
Lastly, the update reduces third-party program crashes and unresponsiveness, fixes lag in certain scenarios, and improves overall system smoothness and stability.
The size of the update is 790MB.
