Honor Reportedly enters NPI stage for its 10,000mAh Battery Phone

Larger batteries are a new trend in affordable phones. Early this year, we saw many phones with 7,000mAh power cells. By summer, Honor released the X70. It featured an even bigger 8,300mAh battery.

Now, 10,000mAh batteries may be next.

Digital Chat Station often leaks phone hardware. This month, they reported that phone makers plan to test 10,000mAh batteries. These will be in mid-range models next year.

This might seem odd for bulky phones. However, the source claims these phones could stay under 8.5mm thick. That is thinner than many current phones with smaller batteries.

Honor Power 2?

Today, the source updated their tip. One such phone entered the NPI stage. This means it is beyond early design. While the exact phone is unconfirmed, Weibo users guess it could be the Honor Power 2.

Honor seems well-suited for this. In April, they launched a new Power series. The Honor Power had an 8,000mAh Qinghai Lake battery.

This battery uses a high-silicon tech. It has over 10% silicon. Its energy density is 821Wh/L. These specs let Honor keep the size reasonable. They also boosted capacity. The phone debuted in China for 1,999 yuan. Subsidized, it costs 1,699 yuan.

It is unclear when the 10,000mAh Honor Power 3 will launch. Since it is in the NPI stage, it may arrive in early 2026.
