Huawei plans to launch the Pura 80 series in June. However, a leaked live image appears to have revealed the camera module of the upcoming Pura 80 Ultra model. The device looks real, suggesting it may have been sent to some users for testing.
The leaked image shows a close-up of the suspected Huawei Pura 80 Ultra camera module. It gives some hints about the design, which was previously unknown. Earlier, a Weibo tipster known as @FixedFocus posted a photo of four phones. The top-left device looked like the Pura 80 Ultra. It appeared in an outdoor shot, possibly during pre-launch testing.
Although the tipster later deleted the photo, an X user named @techreviewspko managed to save and share it. Let’s look at these images more closely.

The images show a device covered with a rugged case. This keeps the design details hidden. Still, the lens layout suggests a triangular arrangement, similar to previous models. The camera module looks quite large, covering about half of the phone’s back. Its size matches what we saw in the leaked photo.
The tipster also said the Pura 80 Ultra has dual periscope lenses. If this is true, it could greatly improve macro photography and give users better picture quality.
DigitalChatStation also said the phone might have a dual periscope setup. Both 50MP sensors are said to have an RYYB filter, which could mean that at least 1 of them could be a world-first Huawei self-developed sensor with SuperPixGain HDR 2.0.

Aside from that, the main camera and ultrawide lens are arranged in a way similar to the Pura 70 Ultra. Details remain unclear, but the leak hints at major camera upgrades.

The Pura 80 Ultra is expected to have improved main and ultrawide sensors. It might include the multi-spectral lens used in the Mate 70, too. These upgrades could make the Pura 80 Ultra one of the best camera phones available.
As per rumors, it features a dual-layer OLED display (Ultra version) with 3500nit brightness, accurate colors, and energy efficiency. -The camera excels: Ultra has a 1-inch domestic sensor, 3.5x zoom; Pro uses Sony IMX989, great for backlit portraits. -Powered by Kirin 9020 chip, -HarmonyOS NEXT (independent from Android), 6000mAh battery, and 100W fast charging. -Design options include Mecha or cute rounded styles, with a 1.5K LTPO display,120Hz.
