Microsoft Unveils AI Agent for Windows PCs That Will Automate All Your Tasks

Microsoft has announced a set of new AI-powered features for Copilot+ PCs and Windows 11. The update focuses on giving users more help with tasks and making smart features available on more devices.

AI Agent for Copilot+ PCs

One of the main updates is a new AI assistant called Agent that runs on the device itself. It helps users make system changes using simple language. For example, you can ask it to control the computer with your voice or make the mouse pointer bigger. If you permit it, it can do these things for you automatically.

At first, Agent will only understand English, but Microsoft plans to add more languages later. The rollout starts with Copilot+ PCs that have Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, and support for devices with Intel and AMD chips will come soon after.

Enhanced Click to Do Capabilities

Microsoft is also improving the Click to Do feature in Copilot. This tool lets the AI do tasks based on what’s shown on the screen. With the update, you can ask it to write content in Word, turn selected text into a list, or send data to Excel.

The feature can also handle scheduling, send messages in Microsoft Teams, and enable tools like Reading Coach and Immersive Reader, all without switching apps.

New Features for All Windows 11 Devices

While most attention is on Copilot+ PCs, Windows 11 updates are coming too. These include new options for customizing the Start menu and AI features added to File Explorer. The Copilot app will also gain Copilot Vision, a new tool that lets it see and understand what’s on your screen for more personal help.

Microsoft hasn’t shared an exact timeline for when all these features will be available. The company says they will start with Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs and then roll out to other devices later.
