Barcelona was bustling today as technology enthusiasts, executives, and brands from around the globe gathered at the Fira Gran Via for Mobile World Congress 2025. My colleague Will and I explored numerous booths to provide you with comprehensive coverage of the event.
We dedicated a significant portion of our time to TECNO’s booth (6B11, Hall 6), which revolves around the theme “Create the AI Future.” This initiative promises to deliver more than just impressive technology; it aims to offer practical AI solutions for everyday users, particularly in emerging markets.
Tecno Key Products at MWC 2025
The CAMON 40 Series captured significant attention on the first day, demonstrating remarkable camera functionalities. The innovative “One-Tap FlashSnap” feature proved to be particularly noteworthy, enabling the capture of fast-moving subjects with exceptional clarity.

Additionally, TECNO’s exhibition included its foldable devices—the PHANTOM V2 Flip 5G and PHANTOM V2 Fold 5G—both of which were introduced in 2024.
What stood out the most was TECNO’s inaugural AI Glasses Series. These are not merely smart glasses; they aim to integrate smartphone-level photography capabilities into eyewear.

The Pro version enhances this concept further by incorporating augmented reality display features, suggesting a future where screens could be omnipresent yet intangible.
Nevertheless, the brand has indicated that further information will be revealed tomorrow on Day 2.
The Next Generation of Work and Play

The MEGABOOK S14 laptop emerged as a notable highlight at the exhibition. It is promoted as the lightest 14-inch laptop globally, featuring a 2.8K OLED display while successfully integrating advanced AI capabilities within a highly portable design. The included Ella AI Voice Assistant provides more than mere basic commands, offering contextual comprehension during interactions.
Future Products
One of the most captivating aspects of TECNO’s display was its concept corner.

The SPARK Slim showcased an impressively slender profile with an elegant silver finish, while the tri-fold PHANTOM Ultimate 2 boasted a tablet-sized screen that conveniently fits into a pocket.

Measuring just 5.75mm in thickness, the Tecno Spark Slim does not compromise on battery performance, as it houses a robust 5,200mAh battery. In contrast, earlier ultra-slim smartphones, such as the vivo X3, were limited to a mere 2000mAh battery within a similar slim design. This was not a practical solution at the time, considering battery costs; however, a decade later, a thickness of 5.75mm paired with a 5200mAh battery appears to be a commendable advancement.

The tri-fold device also stood out as a significant feature of the booth, presenting a stunning, large tablet-sized gadget that can be conveniently folded to fit in one’s pocket.
What’s Next?
We are waiting for more details on the glasses, the CAMON 40’s Tecno AI, and the MEGABOOK S14, which should likely be unveiled tomorrow.
