The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 (SM6435-AA), Qualcomm’s most recent midrange processor, has been officially unveiled, offering significant performance enhancements over its predecessor.
Built on Samsung’s 4nm process, the new chip delivers a 36% boost in CPU performance and a massive 59% improvement in GPU speed compared to the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3.
The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 features an octa-core Kryo CPU with four performance cores clocked up to 2.4GHz and four efficiency cores running at up to 1.8GHz.
HDR gaming is supported by the integrated Adreno GPU, which also has advanced features like Vulkan 1.1, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP, and Snapdragon Elite Gaming tools like Game Quick Touch and Variable Rate Shading.

The chipset supports Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz, along with mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. With peak speeds of up to 2.9Gbps, Qualcomm’s FastConnect system ensures high-speed wireless performance.
The Qualcomm Spectra ISP on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 supports up to 200MP single-camera sensors and 2K video capture at 30 frames per second for imaging purposes.
It can handle dual 12-bit ISPs and allows slow-motion recording at 720p up to 240fps. Multi-frame noise reduction is also supported.
With added features like Snapdragon Sound, low-latency audio playback, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+, the chipset supports up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM at 3200 MHz.
The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is expected to power upcoming midrange smartphones, offering a balanced mix of high-end gaming features, improved connectivity, and enhanced camera capabilities.
Although the specific phones that will use this chipset are unknown, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 should be available in a few budget phones before the end of 2025.
