Nothing’s First Ever Flagship is Here With a New Glyph Matrix LED

Nothing has officially announced the Phone (3), marking its first flagship in the lineup. It also introduces notable design and style updates. The rear features a new Glyph Matrix LED system, along with a refreshed triple-camera setup. Inside, it packs a top-level Snapdragon chip and other upgrades. Here are the details.

Design and Display

The Phone (3) has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It features a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel supports 2160Hz PWM dimming and reaches a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, which enhances clarity and smoothness. Its symmetrical bezels contribute to a clean, minimal look. The back panel shows an asymmetrical layout. The only color options are black and white.

Replacing the older Glyph Interface, the new Glyph Matrix uses 489 tiny LEDs in a dot-matrix pattern. It sits at the upper-right corner of the back, showing caller ID, notifications, and status updates. Users can customize contact icons and control the Glyph Matrix using a built-in Glyph Button.

The phone also includes IP68-rated protection, making it resistant to dust and water, a first for the brand.

Internals and Software

Under the hood, the Phone (3) runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. It offers 12GB or 16GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. It uses Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, with a plan to upgrade to OS 4.0 (Android 16) later this quarter.

The company promises five years of Android updates and seven years of security patches.

Cameras

Its triple-camera system all uses 50MP sensors. The main camera is 1/1.3 inches and includes optical stabilization. The second is a 70mm periscope lens with 3x zoom and telemacro mode for detailed close-ups. The third is an ultrawide lens with a 114-degree view. The front camera is 50MP built into the screen, for high-quality photos and videos.

Battery and Pricing

The Phone (3) is powered by a 5,150 mAh battery made with silicon-carbon. It supports 65W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

Pricing starts at $799 for the 12GB/256GB version. The 16GB/512GB model costs $899. Since the Nothing Phone 2 is available in Pakistan, we hope to see the Phone (3) here as well, but there’s no confirmation yet.
