Following its initial launch in Japan earlier this year, ZTE Nubia is set to introduce its second-generation clamshell foldable device to the international market at MWC 2025. The Nubia Flip 2 features an expanded cover display, enhanced durability, and is powered by a new MediaTek chipset. Let us delve into the specifics.
Nubia’s Flip 2 Specs, Sleek Foldable Design
The Flip 2 retains the 6.9-inch OLED main display from its predecessor, boasting FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the most significant enhancement lies in the cover screen, which replaces the small circular display of the original Flip.
Nubia has introduced a more functional 3-inch rectangular panel (422 x 682 pixels), allowing for easier access to notifications, app shortcuts, and widgets without the need to unfold the device.
Accompanying the cover display is a dual-camera configuration, featuring a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP lens located on the interior.
Powering the Flip 2 is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, complemented by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a 4,300mAh battery that supports PD 3.0 fast charging, which Nubia claims can fully charge from 0 to 100% in just 55 minutes.
Additionally, the Flip 2 has seen improvements in durability. While it is not completely waterproof, it does feature an IPX2 rating, indicating resistance to water drips, as well as IP4X protection, which safeguards against objects larger than 1mm, such as dust particles.
Nubia Flip 2 Price
The Nubia Flip 2 is priced at €699 for the 6GB/128GB variant and is available in Night Black and Lalic Purple color.
