Oppo has launched the A5 Pro in Indonesia, which closely resembles the global version revealed in February. However, this Indonesian variant is notable for its enhanced durability and features a Snapdragon chipset, replacing the Dimensity chip found in the international model.
Design and Display
The Oppo A5 Pro showcases a stylish design available in three attractive colors: Moss Green, Mocha Chocolate, and Blue Silk. It features a 6.67-inch LCD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720p+, reaching brightness levels of up to 1,000 nits. To ensure durability, the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and AGC DT-Star D+ glass.
This device is built to endure, boasting IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. Additionally, its aluminum motherboard cover offers military-grade shock protection, enhancing its overall resilience.
Internals and Software
On the performance front, the A5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 chipset, a 4G-only processor equipped with an X11 LTE modem. It features a combination of four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 cores, along with an Adreno 610 GPU. Users can choose between 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB UFS 2.1, with the added benefit of a microSD slot for extra space.
Cameras
For photography, the Oppo A5 Pro is equipped with a camera system that includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 2MP depth sensor, capable of recording 4K video at up to 60fps. Notably, the 4G model outperforms the Dimensity-based 5G variant in video recording, which is limited to 1080p at 30fps.
The 8MP front-facing camera features an 80° lens and can also record video at 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and Pricing
Lastly, the Oppo A5 Pro is equipped 5,800 mAh battery that supports 45W SuperVOOC charging, ensuring long-lasting usage. According to Oppo, users can enjoy up to 17 hours of continuous video streaming, and the battery is designed to maintain at least 80% of its original capacity even after four years.
The A5 Pro is priced at approximately $180 (PKR 49,999) for the 8 GB/128 GB version.
