The Oppo Find X8 Ultra has officially launched, showcasing significant enhancements over its predecessor and establishing itself as one of the most powerful smartphones of 2025. It competes with top models like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Alongside it, the Oppo Find X8s and X8s+ have also been introduced, which we have detailed in a separate article.
Design and Display
With a sleek design measuring only 8.78mm thick, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra ranks among the thinnest flagship devices available. Despite its slimness, it boasts impressive durability, featuring IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, allowing it to endure water jets and submersion.
The phone sports a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 3,168 x 1,440 pixels (2K) and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, optimizing battery life. It achieves a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, ensuring excellent visibility in bright sunlight. With 10-bit color support, it delivers precise color transitions, enhancing both media viewing and everyday tasks. The Find X8 Ultra is available in Matte Black, Pure White, and Shell Pink, all featuring smooth matte finishes on the metal edges and glass surfaces.

Internals and Software
The Find X8 Ultra is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, offering exceptional processing capabilities. It comes with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, facilitating seamless multitasking and ample space for large files. The storage utilizes the latest UFS 4.1 technology for enhanced speed and efficiency.
Running on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, the device enhances the user experience with improved multitasking, notifications, and personalization options.
Cameras
The camera system has been enhanced, beginning with the primary camera that boasts a large 1-inch type 50MP Sony LYT900 sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, which significantly improves detail and low-light capabilities. There are two telephoto lenses, each with 50MP: a 70mm (3x) lens and a 135mm (6x) lens, both designed for better zoom performance. The 15mm ultrawide camera captures expansive shots, although it has a slightly smaller sensor compared to the previous model.

For selfies, the 32MP front camera delivers excellent quality and features autofocus. The camera system is also equipped with advanced features like AI tone mapping and ProXDR, enhancing color precision and detail across different lighting conditions. Furthermore, the Find X8 Ultra supports 4K slow-motion recording at 120fps, resulting in superior video quality.
Battery and Pricing
Powering the Find X8 Ultra is a 6,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is almost 20% larger than the previous version while keeping a sleek design. The device supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, ensuring rapid recharge times. This, along with the efficient chipset, contributes to a longer battery life.
The base model, featuring 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, is priced at $892. The model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is available for $960, while the top-tier version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage is priced at $1,099.
