Pakistan’s Mobile Phone Imports Down by 14% in 10 Months

Mobile phone imports into Pakistan dropped by 14.21 percent in the first ten months of the current financial year (July–April 2024–25), according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

The country imported mobile phones worth $1.254 billion between July and April, compared to $1.462 billion during the same period last year.

On a year-on-year basis, April 2025 saw a sharper decline, with mobile phone imports falling by 22.47 percent to $125.119 million, down from $161.384 million in April 2024. Month-on-month, imports slipped 3.96 percent from $130.274 million in March 2025.


Exports from July to April 2025 increased by 6.40 percent, reaching $26.896 billion, up from $25.278 billion last year.

Total imports during the same time rose by 7.55 percent to $48.292 billion, compared to $44.9 billion the year before.
This indicates higher demand for many types of goods across the economy.
