Realme expanded its premium mid-range lineup with the official introduction of the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ in India. Large 144Hz AMOLED screens, 7,000mAh batteries with 80W rapid charging, and cutting-edge camera components are included in both devices.
The new models are positioned for consumers seeking feature-rich smartphones in the higher mid-range market, with an emphasis on performance, durability, and extended battery life.
Realme 16 Pro, 16 Pro+ specifications and features
AMOLED displays with curved and straight display options, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, 1.07 billion colors, and a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 are features of the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+.
The Realme 16 Pro+ has a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen, whilst the Realme 16 Pro has a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display. With DCI-P3 color support in all modes, brightness levels reach 6,500 nits on the Pro+ and 1,800 nits on the Pro.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset powers the Realme 16 Pro, whereas the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform powers the Realme 16 Pro+.
Both are constructed using a 4nm process and have support for 14GB of dynamic RAM in addition to up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM.
Up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage is available for the Pro and 512GB for the Pro+. A 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging via a USB Type-C connection powers each device.
While the Pro+ adds a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom in addition to a 200-megapixel OIS main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, the Realme 16 Pro has an OIS-assisted 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
Both devices feature a 50-megapixel front camera with 4K video recording capability.
In terms of software, the Realme 16 Pro series comes pre-installed with Android 16 and the most recent Realme UI 7. It has been established that both phones will get four years of security patches and three years of OS upgrades.
Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an infrared remote control, stereo audio, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, broad 5G band support, and water and dust resistance rated IP66/IP68/IP69.
Realme 16 Pro, 16 Pro+ price and availability
Three variants of the Realme 16 Pro are offered: 8GB+128GB costs Rs 31,999, 8GB+256GB costs Rs 33,999, and 12GB+256GB costs Rs 36,999. Pebble Grey, Orchid Purple, and Master Gold are among the available colors.
There are two versions of the Realme 16 Pro+ available: 8GB+256GB for Rs 41,999 and 12GB+512GB for Rs 44,999. It comes in Master Gold, Camellia Pink, and Pebble Grey.
Both phones are currently offered through physical and online retail channels, and launch deals are anticipated from a few banks and platforms.
Flipkart, realme.com, and physical retail outlets are now offering the 16 Pro series for sale. After bank and exchange discounts, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G’s effective pricing is Rs 35,999, while the Realme 16 Pro 5G starts at Rs 28,999. Customers can take advantage of exchange perks, bank rebates, and bundled gifts like Realme Buds T200 on some models.
