The new Realme GT 7 has set a Guinness World Record for the longest marathon of watching movies on a phone. The 24-hour record was confirmed during a session on May 23, 2025, with a Guinness official present. This event was part of Realme’s “Endless Power Journey,” a promo tour that traveled across Europe. It started in Rome and was livestreamed from Shenzhen, China, beginning at 9:30 PM IST on May 22. The record was officially certified after 24 hours.
Realme credits this achievement to the GT 7’s large 7000mAh battery and 120W wired fast charging. The battery has received a 5-Star Battery Certification from TÜV Rheinland. The GT 7 series will launch worldwide and in India on May 27, 2025, with a launch event in Paris. Customers can buy it from Realme.com, Amazon India, and local stores.
Earlier, it was confirmed that the global GT 7 lineup will include the GT 7, GT 7T, and Buds Air 7 Pro. India will also get a limited edition called the GT 7 Dream Edition. It is a special version made with Aston Martin’s Formula One team. This edition features green packaging, silver logos, and F1 branding. It also comes with a custom user interface and accessories.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset powers the global GT 7. This is different from the Chinese version, which uses the Dimensity 9400+. The global model also has a smaller 7000mAh battery than the 7200mAh in China. It supports 7.5W reverse wired charging. The camera setup includes a Sony IMX906 sensor, an ultra-wide lens with 112°, and a front camera with 32MP that can record 4K video at 120fps.
