Redmi Turbo 5 / Poco X8 Pro first Phone to feature Dimensity 8500 with improved GPU to hit 2M+ AnTuTu score

MediaTek is preparing two new processors. These are the Dimensity 9500 and Dimensity 8500. The D9500 will likely power new top-tier phones. Think Vivo X300 series and Oppo Find X9 models. The D8500 is aimed at strong mid-range phones. Today, a tipster named Digital Chat Station shared details. This information came from a Weibo post. It focused on the D8500 chip. It is also known as the first phone to use it.

Dimensity 8500 to power Redmi Turbo 5, Honor, Realme, and iQOO Phones

Digital Chat Station reports that the Dimensity 8500 is a 4nm chip. TSMC will build it. The main CPU parts will stay similar. However, the Mali-G720 GPU will be much better. The chip should score over 2 million on AnTuTu.

The Redmi Turbo 5 is expected first. It should launch late this year or early next year. This matches other reports. The Poco X8 Pro is also coming. It should hit global markets in January 2026. It is expected to use the same chip. The Poco X8 Pro is rumored to be the same phone as the Redmi Turbo 5.

Honor, Ouga Group (Oppo, OnePlus, Realme), and iQOO will also release phones. These phones will feature the Dimensity 8500. Realme previously released the Realme Neo 7 SE. It used the Dimensity 8400. iQOO also released the Z10 Turbo. It had the same chip. So, the Dimensity 8500 might power the Realme Neo 8 SE. It could also appear in the iQOO Z11 Turbo. These are expected next year. All these D8500 phones should have a metal frame. This feature seems to be gaining popularity.
