Samsung Confirms These Galaxy S26 Models Are Not Coming

Samsung has made clear that neither a Galaxy S26 Edge nor a Galaxy S26 Pro are presently in the lineup for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. The revelation confirms previous speculation that Samsung would neither replace the base model with a Pro version or the Plus model with an Edge variant.

Three-Model Lineup Confirmed

The confirmation is based on a promotional PDF document from Samsung Colombia that lists the Galaxy S26 series in advance of this year’s Galaxy S26 Unpacked event. The paper states that the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra will be part of the range; Edge and Pro variants are not mentioned.

This is consistent with earlier reports that suggested Samsung would keep its conventional three-tier flagship structure for the S26 generation.

Edge and Pro Not Ruled Out Entirely

Although the paper indicates that the Edge and Pro models would not be released concurrently with the primary Galaxy S26 series, this does not imply that the devices have been completely scrapped. Although there is presently no sign that a Pro variant is being developed, a delayed release for a Galaxy S26 Edge is still possible.

However, Samsung will need to improve if it is to make the thin model popular given the poor sales figures for the previous Edge model.

As of right moment, it appears like Samsung will abandon the Edge branding, at least for the initial release of the Galaxy S26.
