The Galaxy S25 Edge will not have the anti-reflective coating found on the S25 Ultra, according to a recent leak. This is because the S25 Edge does not use Gorilla Armor 2, which features that coating. Instead, Samsung has confirmed it will use the newest Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for better durability. However, this newer glass likely does not include the anti-reflective layer.

Samsung explains that Corning has added ceramic crystals directly into the glass, which makes it more resistant to drops. The ion exchange process used by Corning also boosts the strength of Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.
Apple recently promoted its Ceramic Shield on the iPhone 16, showing it can be used without a screen protector or case. Samsung seems to be leaning toward similar marketing for the S25 Edge, emphasizing the ceramic material.
Andrew Beck from Corning said, “Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 offers a great mix of being thin yet strong. It gives users excellent durability with a sleek, modern look.” He added that the new glass shows how Corning and Samsung are working to meet what users want.
One earlier leak said the middle frame of the phone is made from titanium alloy, similar to the S25 Ultra. This points to a tough, yet slim device. Samsung is also using the word “titanium” in some color options. This suggests the S25 Edge is meant to be both slim and durable.
The phone is expected to launch on May 13 at 9 AM Korean time, which is 5:30 AM in India. Until then, you can check out more details about its rumored specs.
