Samsung Hints at Massive Changes in Galaxy S26

Early information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series from Samsung reveals a strong emphasis on AI features, custom-built chips, and hardware upgrades to differentiate it from previous generations.

The information was included with the financial report for the third quarter of the business, in which top executives outlined the priorities for upcoming Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S26 series will provide a “user-centric, next-gen AI experience,” according to Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung’s Mobile Experience (MX) Division.

This will be made possible by a second-generation custom application processor (AP) and enhanced performance, including new camera sensors.

Industry observers anticipate that the chipset will be the Exynos 2600, which may become Samsung’s first 2nm mobile chip, despite the fact that Araujo did not name the chipset.

Whether Samsung includes the Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy Z Flip7 determines whether it is classified as first-generation or second-generation.

The majority of Galaxy S26 units, according to reports, will be powered by the Exynos 2600, while some markets, such as the United States, China, and Japan, may receive models powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Supporting the concept of dual sourcing, Samsung Foundry is expected to manufacture some Snapdragon chips, including the “for Galaxy” versions.

Araujo made it clear, however, that the selection process for the application processor is still ongoing and that no final decision has been made regarding the entire chipset lineup for the flagship phones coming out next year.
