Samsung Internet Beta Program Launched For PC

Samsung Internet, often seen as an underrated mobile browser, is now expanding beyond phones. Starting October 30, Samsung will start a beta of Samsung Internet for PC, marking a major step toward building a seamless ecosystem across devices.

Expanding Beyond Mobile: A New Era for Samsung Internet

Before, it worked only on phones. Samsung Internet will now reach Windows 10 and Windows 11 users in the US and Korea. Samsung plans to roll out the PC version globally in the coming months. The plan gives users a direct browser that connects well with Samsung phones and Galaxy Book laptops.

Apple does this with Safari. Google uses Chrome. Galaxy Book owners will soon get the same easy switch between devices. Bookmarks, history, and passwords sync via Samsung Pass. No more need for a Chrome add-on to match phone and PC bookmarks.

Competing in the AI Browser Space

Samsung isn’t just entering the desktop market; It also joins the race for AI in browsers. Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT Atlas have AI features built in. Now, Samsung is joining them with Galaxy AI integration in its browser.

The new Browsing Assist tool sums up or translates pages right away. It saves time and helps people who read in different languages.

Privacy and Security Take Center Stage

In addition to its AI tools, Samsung Internet for PC has a Privacy Dashboard. It shows real-time info on web safety. The browser also comes with anti-tracking technology enabled by default. Users keep their privacy without add-ons or plugins.

How to Try the Beta

The Samsung Internet PC beta launches on October 30 for Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and all versions of Windows 11. As it grows, more users worldwide can try Samsung’s newest browser and experience the company’s growing ecosystem of connected devices.
