At CES 2026, TCL added the NxtPaper 70 Pro to its lineup of smartphones. The gadget adds a special NxtPaper key for fast screen mode switching, building on TCL’s paper-like display technology. Additionally, the phone introduces the newest NxtPaper 4.0 display technology.
This means that with a single button click, you can have both a fast and snappy standard smartphone screen and a paper-like reading experience.

Design and Display
The 6.9-inch NxtPaper 4.0 display on the TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro has Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 900 nits.
The panel has seven eye-care technologies and is made to be comfortable for prolonged viewing. Natural light mode, zero flicker operation, blue light purification, anti-glare viewing, and other improvements to eye protection are some of these features.
Users may effortlessly choose between Color Paper, Ink Paper, and Max Ink display modes thanks to the device’s built-in NxtPaper key.
AI-powered handwriting input, off-screen notes, and AI-generated notebook covers are all made possible by the phone’s support for the T-Pen stylus. Nebula Gold and Stellar Blue are the two colors offered for the TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro.

Internals and Software
The NxtPaper 70 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. Up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage are available. A microSD card slot allows for additional storage expansion.
The phone comes pre-installed with Android 16. A fingerprint scanner on the side, dual SIM compatibility, GPS, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi, and dual stereo speakers are among the extra features. Additionally, the device has an IP68 grade for water and dust protection.

The TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro has two cameras on the back: an 8MP camera and a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization. 30 frames per second 4K video recording is supported via the rear camera configuration.
The phone has a 32MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.
