Tecno has introduced the Spark 40 series, adding three new models to its budget-friendly lineup: the Spark 40, Spark 40 Pro, and Spark 40 Pro+. The Spark 40 Pro+ features a new MediaTek chip, setting it apart from the other models. The rest of the series offers basic specs at a low price, making them affordable options for many.
Design and Display
The Spark 40 Pro and Pro+ come equipped with 6.78-inch AMOLED displays that deliver a sharp 1220p+ resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The Pro+ model stands out with a curved screen and an under-display fingerprint sensor, giving it a more high-end appearance.

On the other hand, the standard Spark 40 features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While it lacks AMOLED technology, it still offers decent visuals for everyday use. All three models are available in a range of colors, including Ink Black, Moon Titanium, White, and Grey.

Internals and Software
The Spark 40 Pro+ is the first smartphone to launch with MediaTek’s Helio G200 chipset, offering strong performance for multitasking and gaming. It comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The Spark 40 Pro is powered by the Helio G100, while the base Spark 40 uses the Helio G81 processor, both paired with similar RAM and storage configurations.

All three phones run on HiOS 15.1, which is based on Android 15.

Cameras
Tecno has equipped all three phones with a 50MP main rear camera. While the company has not revealed the exact specifications of the additional rear sensors in the Pro and Pro+ models, they are likely to be auxiliary lenses that support basic depth or macro photography. The Spark 40 Pro and Pro+ both include a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, while the Spark 40 features an 8MP front camera. These setups are tailored for casual photography and social media use.
Battery and Pricing
Each model in the Spark 40 series includes a 5,200mAh battery designed to offer all-day usage. The Pro+ leads the way with support for 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and even 5W reverse wireless charging. The Spark 40 and Spark 40 Pro also support 45W wired charging but lack wireless options.
In terms of pricing, the Spark 40 Pro+ is available for approximately $214. The Spark 40 Pro is priced at around $189, and the base Spark 40 starts at roughly $133.
