Tecno has officially unveiled its newest Camon 40 series smartphones. This collection features four models: the Camon 40 Premier 5G, Camon 40 Pro 5G, Camon 40 Pro, and the standard Camon 40.
Tecno Camon 40, 40 Pro and 40 Pro 5G
The Camon 40 and Camon 40 Pro represent the more budget-friendly 4G options within the series, both utilizing the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset. They are equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution.

These devices are powered by a robust 5,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The difference between the two models lies in the front camera; the Camon 40 Pro features a 50MP selfie camera, whereas the standard Camon 40 has a 32MP selfie camera. On the rear, both variants are identical, sharing a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a depth sensor.
Upgrading to the Camon 40 Pro 5G reveals a similar configuration, except for the chipset. It swaps in a Dimensity 7300 SoC, which enables 5G support, while all other aspects, including design and battery capacity, remain consistent.
Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G
The Camon 40 Premier 5G emerges as the most notable model in the series, featuring a distinctive circular camera module that replaces the vertical design seen in other variants. This innovative module incorporates three 50MP lenses, enabling wide, ultrawide, and 3x optical zoom photography. Additionally, the primary lens is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS).

On the front, the device boasts a 50MP camera with autofocus capabilities. Internally, it is driven by the Dimensity 8350 chipset and is equipped with a slightly smaller 5,100mAh battery, which supports rapid 70W charging. The display has also seen enhancements, now featuring a 6.67-inch screen with a higher resolution of 1260p and a refresh rate of 144Hz.
Tecno has yet to disclose information regarding pricing or availability. Further details are anticipated as the devices begin their rollout in various regions.
