The iPhone 17 Pro is coming next month – here are 11 changes you’ll want to know about

The release of the iPhone 17 is just around the corner, possibly on September 9. The iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, and the Pro-branded iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will make up the lineup. This year’s iPhone 17 Pro is said to be a significant upgrade, with a new camera island design that has been widely leaked

Design: new camera island look: –

The redesigned camera island is anticipated to be one of the most significant changes for the iPhone 17 Pro. It has now been extensively leaked. The LiDAR system and all of the lenses would be housed in a “camera bar” at the top of the phone’s back. The Apple logo on the back may need to be slightly moved to look symmetrical with the new design, according to reports.

Aluminum frame: This change is a little odd because aluminum is typically a material that is less durable than titanium. The iPhone 17 Pro may have an aluminum frame, according to rumors. The iPhone 15 and 16 Pro were made of titanium, while the 14 Pro and earlier models had frames made of stainless steel. Aluminum is a light material, but compared to titanium, it may feel less luxurious and is generally less durable.

A19 Pro chip: –

The most recent chip from Apple, the A19 Pro, will most likely be present in the iPhone 17 Pro. According to reports, the chip will be made using TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process, which should make it faster and use less power overall.

12GB of RAM: –

The iPhone 17 Pro is said to include additional RAM in addition to the new chip. With Apple Intelligence, the size of the RAM becomes even more critical than it was previously. Additionally, it will speed up multitasking on the new iPhone 17 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro has 8GB of RAM, so the addition of 12GB is unprecedented.

Improved cooling: –

The A19 Pro’s raw power would necessitate better cooling, and there are rumors that the iPhone 17 Pro’s cooling system could be improved. The iPhone 17 Pro Max, in particular, is said to feature graphite sheets and vapor chamber cooling. This will lessen the performance throttling caused by intense tasks and the heat they generate.

Custom-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip: –

According to reports, Apple’s in-house Wi-Fi 7 chip will be included in the iPhone 17 Pro as part of its efforts to reduce its reliance on Qualcomm. Although Qualcomm’s 5G modem is said to be used in the iPhone 17 Pro this year, Apple is also developing its own internal modems for 5G. The new Wi-Fi 7 chip is expected to improve efficiency as well as connectivity.

$50 price hike and bigger starting storage: –

The iPhone 17 Pro will cost $50 more than the iPhone 16 Pro. However, Apple may offer the iPhone 17 Pro with 256GB of initial storage as an incentive to justify the price increase.

New orange color for the iPhone 17 Pro: –

This time around, Pro-branded iPhones, according to reports, will feature a new color scheme from Apple, a departure from the standard palette. An exciting new orange color is rumored to be available for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, both of which would draw attention to the new design. The iPhone 17 Pro is anticipated to be available in dark blue, white, silver, and black variants in addition to the new orange model.
