The Directorate General of Customs Valuation in Karachi has sharply lowered the customs values for importing used computers, laptops, printers, and their accessories from all countries. They issued a new valuation ruling, numbered 2000 of 2025, to help importers by making the process easier.
These lower customs values now apply to all types of used computers, including laptops, printers, and related accessories, regardless of their origin. The new ruling was issued because the old valuation was over a year out of date. The authorities analyzed recent data, market prices, and customs values to update their figures.
A meeting with key stakeholders was held to determine the new values. They agreed that prices for older models and less recent generations of these goods have gone down, so the values should be adjusted accordingly.
The new ruling sets updated customs values for all used and old computer systems, laptops, printers, and their accessories from any country. These figures will be used to calculate duties and taxes when importing these goods.
