Vivo is gearing up to launch a new foldable phone. It will come after the X Fold 3 and may be called the X Fold 4 or Fold 5, since Vivo might skip the number 4 in China’s superstitious culture.
Trusted leakster Digital Chat Station suggests a foldable could arrive in the third quarter. Although they didn’t specify the model, all clues point to a new Vivo foldable device. The new phone is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a step up from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the X Fold 3.

Vivo X Fold 4 Specifications (Rumored)
There’s no info yet on a Pro version, but Vivo usually updates its top model with a Snapdragon 8 Elite. So, the X Fold 3 Pro’s successor might have this upgraded chip.
Early hints say the foldable will include a side fingerprint scanner, a periscope-style telephoto camera, and wireless charging support. The launch is likely set for Q3, based on previous leaks.
Another report says the device will have a large AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate and very slim bezels. It might feature an advanced hinge design to reduce screen creases and make it sturdier.
For cameras, rumors suggest a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide camera. The foldable could have a 6,000mAh battery and water resistance rated at IPX8.
