Vivo has launched the Y400 Pro, its newest mid-range smartphone. The device offers a high-refresh-rate display and solid performance components. It stands out mainly because of its front camera quality. Here are the details below
Design and Display
The Vivo Y400 Pro sports a 6.77-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It reaches a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, making it easy to see in bright sunlight. The screen supports wet-touch input and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
This phone also has an IR blaster, so it can act as a remote control. It features stereo speakers that support Hi-Res Audio, both wired and wireless. The device comes in three colors: Fest Gold, Nebula Purple, and Freestyle White highlighted by a Baroque Pearl finish on the white version.
Internals and Software
Powering the Y400 Pro is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15. Vivo has not yet announced the duration of software update support.
Cameras
The phone has a dual-camera system on the back. It includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait photos. Portrait mode uses Sony’s Multifocal Portrait technology, letting you shoot at 1x, 1.5x, and 2x zoom levels without losing clarity. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera records in 4K video, ensuring sharp images and videos.
Battery and Pricing
The device houses a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging. Vivo claims that the charger can charge half the battery in approximately 19 minutes.
The starting price for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model is $290. The version with 256GB storage costs $310. The company has not announced release details or prices for other countries, including Pakistan.
