Xiaomi might be getting ready to launch its flagship smartphones in India/Pakistan soon. A new leak suggests that the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra models are being readied in the region, and we might have a possible release timeline as well. So here are all the details.
Xiaomi 17 & Xiaomi 17 Ultra
The latest information arrives from a known tipster, Yogesh Brar, who shared the details on X. He claims that the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra models are undergoing testing in the Indian market. To recall, the Xiaomi 17 was first launched back in China, but the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has yet to be unveiled. But just like before, the Ultra model will likely get a global and Chinese release at the same time.
Similar to last year’s Xiaomi 15 series, the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra could debut in India, according to the tipster. Back in September, the Xiaomi 17 series was announced, which consisted of three models. The base Xiaomi 17 along with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The Pro series featured the unique dual display setup, with the rear camera modules featuring a smaller panel.
However, the tipster stated that there is no word on the Pro series arriving in the global market. This is surprising since the Xiaomi 15 Pro model didn’t see a wider release outside of China either. But it is a bit surprising, considering the dual display was the big new upgrade this year. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.
