Xiaomi has announced its 15th anniversary launch event for May 22 at 7 PM local time. The company shared this news through various official channels, including founder Lei Jun. The event is set to showcase several exciting products. Here’s what to expect.
Xiaomi Xring 01, Xiaomi 15s Pro, Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, incoming

One highlight will be Xiaomi’s new self-made mobile chip, the Xring 01. This chip marks Xiaomi’s return to the mobile system-on-chip (SoC) market. It will debut inside the Xiaomi 15S Pro, a flagship phone focused on high performance. Benchmark tests show the Xring 01 has a 10-core CPU, with cores running at 2 x 3.9GHz + 4 x 3.4GHz + 2 x 1.89GHz + 2 x 1.8GHz. It uses the Immortalis-G925 GPU. The chip scores 3,119 in single-core and 9,673 in multi-core Geekbench tests. Its performance is similar to chips like Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The event will also introduce the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra. This is a premium 14-inch tablet with fast charging up to 120W. It features a clear 3.2K resolution display with LTPO technology. The device targets professionals with features for multi-window use. It might run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip.
Another new product is the Xiaomi YU7, the company’s first SUV. It is expected to have a tail-light style like a Saturn ring. Its size will be around 4999mm long, 1996mm wide, and 1600mm tall. The SUV will have high-speed performance options and dual motors, reaching up to 390 horsepower.

The main focus of the launch will be the Xring 01 chip and the Xiaomi 15S Pro phone. The 15S Pro will be the first to use the new chip. Xiaomi says the Xring 01 shows its renewed push into mobile chips. The company began developing the chip after restarting its SoC efforts in 2021.
Xiaomi has a big plan for chip making that covers 10 years. It has invested at least 50 billion Yuan, about $6.9 billion. By April 2025, Xiaomi had already put over 13.5 billion Yuan, roughly $1.9 billion, into chip research. This heavy investment shows Xiaomi’s long-term aim to grow in the semiconductor industry.
