Xiaomi has introduced its first SUV, the Xiaomi YU7, in China. It comes in three models: Standard (RWD), Pro (AWD), and Max (high-performance AWD). Customers can now pre-order via the Xiaomi EV app and WeChat Mini Program.
Chinese electric vehicle maker Xiaomi has received 289,000 pre-orders for its first sport utility vehicles within an hour of launching, in what the company says was a “miraculous” moment for the industry.
The YU7 has a sleek design with low lines and a balanced shape. It features nine color options such as Basalt Gray, Lava Orange, Titanium Silver, Emerald Green, Pearl White, Dusk Purple, Dawn Pink, and more. Wheel sizes range from 19 to 21 inches, with various styles and tire options. The Max version offers a CLTC range of up to 760 km with long-range tires or 670 km with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires designed for performance.

Inside, the SUV offers four different color schemes and uses soft-touch materials certified to OEKO-TEX® Class 1 standards. The seats are wrapped in Nappa leather, and optional front seats include a zero-gravity design with recline and massage functions. Rear seats recline up to 135°, fold flat to create a 1.8-meter bed, and have heating options. Storage includes a 141-liter front trunk, a 687-liter rear trunk, and up to 1,758 liters with seats folded down.

Smart features include dual 80W wireless charging pads, a 4.6-liter refrigerator, a Dolby Atmos sound system with 25 speakers, and a HEPA-certified cabin filter covering 2.2 square meters. The Max model adds double-laminated glass, better insulation, and a panoramic roof with smart-dimming. All trims benefit from soundproofing that makes the cabin quieter.

The YU7 Max is powered by Xiaomi’s HyperEngine V6s Plus and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds. It has a top speed of 253 km/h. The Standard version provides an 835 km CLTC range, while AWD models offer up to 770 km. Fast charging allows reaching 80% in 12 minutes and adding up to 620 km in 15 minutes on an 800V platform.
All YU7 models include Xiaomi Smart Chassis, which features adaptive suspension, Smart Ride Control, and a mode to reduce motion sickness. The SUV has variable steering, Brembo brakes, and can stop from 100 km/h in 33.9 meters.
The cabin uses Xiaomi’s HyperVision Panoramic Display, made up of a triple Mini LED screen system. It features Xiaomi’s upgraded Hyper XiaoAI voice assistant, five-zone voice control, and the ability to accept outside voice commands. Additional features include animated pet copilots, mic-free karaoke, and full integration with Xiaomi’s ecosystem.
The vehicle is powered by a four-in-one domain controller and NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor platform, delivering 700 TOPS of computing power. Apple users benefit from CarPlay with multi-screen support, remote unlock, and Apple Watch integration.
Every YU7 has advanced driver assistance hardware like LiDAR, 4D radar, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The system is trained on 10 million driving clips for smoother, safer driving.
Safety is a priority, with 2200 MPa high-strength steel used in key areas. The body combines steel and aluminum, giving it a torsional stiffness of 47,610 N·m/deg. The battery is protected with a reinforced coating on the underbody. The YU7 has passed more than 50 crash tests and was tested on 6.49 million km in extreme conditions across China. Xiaomi also set a record by driving 3,944 km in one day with the YU7 Max, proving its durability and powertrain reliability.
Pricing & Availbility
The Xiaomi YU7 starts at RMB 253,500 for the Standard version, RMB 279,900 for the Pro, and RMB 329,900 for the Max.
